Yikes, we’re experiencing some hot days here in Brisbane! In this blog post, we’re sharing three fun ways Suburban Pup can help your dog keep cool and mentally stimulated on a hot day.
Enrichment activities can play a variety of roles at mealtime. For some pups, it fills their day and helps to take the edge off excess energy. For others, it can help curb undesirable behavior and ease anxiety.
Feeding enrichment can also be a safe way for dogs who are recovering from illness or injury to stay appropriately active and challenged.
Below are three fun ways Suburban Pup can be served chilled or frozen - expertly demonstrated by our pal Pepsi!
Slow-feeding bowl or mat meal
An alternative to a normal feeding bowl, slow-feeding bowls or mats (we used a LickiMat Wobble) are awesome boredom busters, and encourage slower feeding for smoother digestion.
Silicone mold fun frozen snacks
Did you know our plant-based products are safe to refreeze?
Hollow-core enrichment toy
Here's one for feeding on indoor tiles for easy clean up, or a shady outdoor spot in the early morning or late afternoon (we used PetSafe and Kong toys).
Finally - remember to follow the feeding guide on each product label, and include enrichment activities and treats in your pup's total daily calories. Enjoy and stay cool, suburban pups!
