POST PANCREATITIS? MEET GIGI!

In the words of Gigi's Mum (Facebook review excerpts only):

From the very beginning Gigi has had tummy issues...

When Gigi was around 8 months a friend told me about Suburban Pup...

When Gigi was around three she got Pancreatitis...

In short, we can't summarise Miss Gigi's journey in a single quote, so we've reproduced her Mum's review in full below.  As a fellow pup-lover, you'll literally feel the frustration of her early allergies + the heartache of her pancreatitis diagnosis.  But there's a happy ending!

From a suburban pup perspective, we've just LOVED the challenge and reward of working with Gigi across the past 5 years - first via our gentle transitioning pack for her sensitive tummy, then via our lighter white protein pack for her pancreatitis recovery, and now with our low-to-medium fat 'every protein but ...beef' pack to meet Gigi's taste preference while widening her nutritional variety again.

And please always feel welcome to contact us with your story, because truly sustainable food solutions are our happiest place!

In the full word's of Gigi's Mum (Facebook review transcript):

From the very beginning Gigi has had tummy issues, she didn’t have a zest for meal times and often left food. She was also constantly itchy and scratched her eyes until they bled. It was advised for her to eat hyper allergenic dry food only and take a mix of steroidal and non steroidal anti-histamines which was confusing because we had always fed our dogs fresh veggies and a mix of proteins but seeing I had never had a dog with allergies before I was stumped.

When Gigi was around 8 months a friend told me about Suburban Pup so I thought I would give it a go. What I love is that there is a mix of veggies and meats, perfectly packaged so it doesn’t go off and delivered to my door for added convenience. What Gigi loves about it...well she just loves it! She became enthusiastic at meal times which is something you would expect from her Beagle cross breed.

When Gigi was around three she got Pancreatitis. While I couldn’t pinpoint one single thing that would have tipped her over the edge so to speak it was probably a culmination of her pre existing sensitivity issues and having a good life. She spent a week at the vets on fluids, lost 20% of her body weight and refused to eat or drink for days. She slept on her tummy on the cool tiles, which is also where I slept so I could hear her if she needed anything through the night.

I got in contact with Anna to let her know what was going on and to ask for some advice. Anna straight away let me know which meals would be better suited to Gigi to help her recover and gave continued support during the whole process. After a cautious few months Gigi was back to her regular self.

Gigi has just had her 5th birthday, she loves her food and loves a good roll in the grass. I can’t recommend Suburban Pup more for pups with sensitivities be them stomach or allergy related. And I can’t thank Anna enough for her food and allergy related information and her genuine care.

P.S also a shout out to Mat who supports and assists Anna so the deliveries run smoothly.
